Tell Your Story! FCCLA Positively Affects Students Lives.

Posted by Patrick | March 10, 2014 |

A children’s song goes “Hide it under a bushel-NO! I’m gonna let it shine! ” FCCLA Chapters, members, advisers- DO LET YOUR STORY BE KNOWN! The work of FCCLA as an applied learning experience is important for communities, schools and our stakeholders to know about. These are educational successes happening- please tell about it!SAM_0783

There is much newsworthy information. FCCLA has so much going on! MN FCCLA are the Global Youth Service Lead State Agency for the 12th year. Many chapters have received mini grants from Delta Dental Serve A Smile for their efforts. GYSD_2014

The State FCCLA Conference will feature some awesome speakers such as Evelyn Vonn Banks, Sam Glenn, J D Lewis, and A Don’t DriVE Distracted Summit for preventing teen crashes and a kindness and caring session continuing the work in anti bullying and Stop the Violence.

Academic applied learning done in the contest of the STAR Events in 48 categories is newsworthy

.  Statistics show that career and technical education students do better in school than the student population to reduce the achievement gap.  Our data show that FCCLA students indicate that FCCLA helps them to be better speakers, better at time management, have priorities and goals and communicate with adults more easily which are 21st century learning skills.

Use your influence and resources to “tell your story.”
