*We are currently soliciting nominations to represent fccla on the Minnesota Foundation for Students ORganization (MFSO) board*
The MN FCCLA Board of Directors is soliciting nominations to represent MN FCCLA on the Minnesota Foundation for Student Organization (MFSO) board. The MFSO provides oversight and guidance to co-curricular career and technical student organizations, as well as promotes and supports leadership opportunities and outreach programs in career and technical education programs through the student organizations.
Would you like to connect with other CTSO leaders, share the MN FCCLA impact with legislators, or advocate for family and consumer sciences funding? Then you should submit your application to be the MN FCCLA Family-Consumer Sciences appointee on the MFSO Board of Directors. The term is for two years (Jan 2024-Jan 2026) and can be renewed. The MFSO board meets four times throughout the year in the metro area (virtual options are also provided). For more information visit the MFSO website, or contact Cherry Cramer or Suzanne Anderson, current MFSO representatives.
State Executive Council
State Officers are selected at the annual State FCCLA Conference and together make up the State Executive Council with their advisers.
Board of Directors
The State Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from businesses, alumni, school administrators, advisers, state officers, and national officers from the state of Minnesota, and ex officio members.
There are five Areas in Minnesota FCCLA. The MN FCCLA Areas elect four Area Officers and a Junior High Council member and peer educators every year. The Area Officers organize two Area FCCLA conferences each year; one in fall and one in mid-winter.
Local chapters elect their own youth officers that govern the local chapter. Most chapter advisers are Family and Consumer Science professionals.
