As we move toward the 70th anniversary year of this organization,
big things are happening!
We are looking forward to including occupational students (formerly HERO) into MN FCCLA this year.
We know all family and consumer sciences programs will have tons of opportunities for leadership, competitions and career building. We are super excited to include skill events, occupational STAR Events and programming for the fabulous students/ teachers in culinary, fashion design, interior design, early childhood, education and training , hospitality and tourism, as well as general career and technical education students.
Some of the opportunities that we are working on include:
- Career exploration/ skill events.
- Leadership opportunities
- State Events in various skills such as culinary knife skills, culinary food art, toys that teach, impromptu speaking, cosmetology, and fashion events.
Membership will be available for comprehensive, occupational, post secondary and middle level members through FCCLA. We are expecting to affiliate on- line with National FCCLA this year. This is a change from last year. You will affiliate directly with National (not with the State FCCLA office first).
