FCCLA’s competitive events are the ultimate applied learning experience. With more than 30 events within the Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) framework and another dozen Skill Events, individuals and teams have lots of options for demonstrating their knowledge, skills, and abilities at the area, state and national levels.
Each event is designed to facilitate the development of lifelong skills in character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge and career preparation. With events connecting to 4 career pathways: Human Services, Education, Hospitality and Design, competitors gain skills and an understanding of those industries.
