STAR Events!

Written by Joe Dagel- State President-Elect

As we cherish and reflect upon this year, Minnesota FCCLA bids you glad tidings and wishes you a Happy New Year.

With 2023, our Regional Midwinter Meetings will be preparing to kick off, and with our regional meetings come STAR Events. A STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Event is a Competitive Event that you can compete in at the regional, state, and national levels. With over 30 different events, ranging from Culinary Arts, FCS Education, Sports Nutrition, and Entrepreneurship, you have the opportunity to hone your experiences and knowledge in becoming a future family member, wage earner, and community leader. So, don’t wait! If you have not already started on your STAR Event, now is the time to begin. Discuss your ideas with your advisor, and be sure to use the Planning Process! Winter break gives you the perfect amount of time to develop a project that can impact your community positively. Good luck
