Lifelong skills!
“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” (Confucius)
FCCLA Officers are learning how to organize an event, write reports, conduct a meeting, work within a system or organization. These are all skills learned this month with Fall Region meetings. Region Fall Conferences have been inspirational, educational, informative and energizing.
Inspirational: Watching the Region Officers and Junior High Council members from planning to follow through has been inspiring.
Educational: Speakers have worked with regional conference to educate about teen driving safety, nutrition and youth development topics.
Informative: Officers have presented round tables and taught members about national Programs and events coming up in FCCLA. What can you do about eating right? Being a family at mealtime? Having good fitness habits? Developing better financial skills- these are all topics FCCLA members tackle with the national programs.
Energizing: Being with other youth leaders can be the energy to get a chapter going for the year.Local Chapter officers have learned about Membership campaigns, FCCLA @the Table, the role of being an officer, reporting and planning skills and the FCCLA annual calendar of events.
Eight Region Fall Conferences have been in full swing in October.
