Welcome to MN FCCLA, Patrick!

Minnesota FCCLA welcomes Patrick Mitchell to the role of Executive Director.

Patrick started in mid-December and has enthusiastically embraced the duties of working with the State Officers and Advisors, preparing for Star Events and taking students to FCCLA Day at the Capitol.

More about Patrick

Patrick brings experience in nonprofit management, a love for community building, and a passion for leadership development work to the Executive Director position at MN FCCLA. Patrick got his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth before going on to get his Master’s in Public and Nonprofit Administration from Metropolitan State University. Prior to joining MN FCCLA, Patrick led 5 statewide self-advocacy conferences, managed over 50 community inclusion projects, and oversaw the administration of a statewide network that empowered thousands of people with disabilities a year. He enjoyed serving two years with AmeriCorps, working to support other members with professional development as VISTA Leader and addressing workforce development needs in Minnesota as a member. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys outdoor recreation including canoe trips with friends, cross-country skiing, and hikes with his family.

Moving into 2023

As mid-winter Star Events finish up, Patrick will work with the State Officers, Advisors, and Board of Directors to prepare for the Minnesota FCCLA State Leadership Conference to be held in March.
