Previous November Summit- Quotes from attendees
“I will not be labeled as average was a very touching sentence. Everyone is different in their own way and that is what is special about every single one of us. Rachel’s Challenge was great to learn about and I hope it reaches a lot more people.”
“Rachel’s Challenge inspired me to do the little things during a school day because I don’t know what another person is going through.“
“Rachel’s Challenge inspired me to not be so judgmental towards others. I also learned to not be labeled as average. It only takes one person to chow an act of Kindness to start a chain reaction.”
“I loved it.“
Rachel’s Challenge really changed my perspective on life. It showed me not to be judgmental until you have thought about what the other person is going through. My favorite quote was “I will never be labeled as average.” It really shows that even though you are one person, you could change people’s lives by small acts of kindness.”
“FCCLA Fall Summit is always a blast and this year was no exception!”
“I realized through Rachel’s Challenge that I can make a difference not only in my own life, but the lives in my school and community. I hope one day this world will be able to see through the eyes of Rachel Scott and I am willing to start now. “
Rachel’s Challenge was really inspirational!”
“Rachel’s Challenge is a challenge everyone can accept. You don’t have to be a leader to make a positive difference in the world, so do the small things, make a change and take the challenge!”
“Rachel’s Challenge made me realize that FCCLA can make a positive difference. We were given tools to start a positive reaction.“
“YOUth can change the world.”
“During the Rachel’s Challenge there wasn’t one second that I didn’t feel like crying. She will have a long lasting effect on me and I will pass it on to my chapter and community. I will leave a lasting imprint on the lives of others.”
“You will be a much happier person if you don’t judge others. By watching a Rachel’s Challenge presentation, I have been inspired to change my life. Hopefully with what was provided by Rachel’s Challenge, we will be able to also change other’s lives.”
“I really enjoyed Rachel’s Challenge. It taught me not to judge a person until you know their story. That is the biggest thing I got out of it. I would never want somebody to judge me on my worst day. This story is life changing.”
“There is no such thing as a bully, just bully behaviors. Always give people 3 chances, you never know what kind of a day someone’s having. Always be kind, you might be starting a chain reaction. These are just a few of the amazing things and knowledge I gained at the FCCLA November Summit this year.”
“Start A Chain Reaction!” I can’t wait to bring this back to our chapter.”
I feel that missing hunting opener was worth it. I got to hear Rachel Joy Scott’s story. I have come so far (in FCCLA) this year! All thanks to FCCLA. I’m such a nice, easy going person now! Samantha- Hinckley Finlayson.
“I have been challenged to look at the way I talk and relate to my sister.”
“I realize that many people will talk about Rachel’s Challenge but I am so glad that we got to see this program and hear the words of Rachel. GREAT program. Bullying needs to stop. “
“Anti – bullying programs aren’t the answer- Pro kindness is.”
I learned…”How much of an impact a little bit of kindness can go.”
My favorite quote” I will not be labeled as average”. This statement had a huge impact on us! We will take this back to our school.
“I learned that you need to respect everyone. You never know what kind of day that person could be having.”
“Rachel’s Challenge is more than just a challenge. It’s a way of life.”
“Stepping back from wearing my red jacket and watching others take charge is truly awesome! Even though I miss my red jacket being able to still be involved and see the motivation and passion of our members is amazing! FCCLA is like my second family!”
“You matter, Kindness, Start a chain reaction!”
“November Summit- It got the wheels turning in my brain- so many ideas. I love going home with so many ideas to bring to my chapter. Love!”
“Rachel’s Challenge is an amazing program that we will definitely incorporate in our school. It will make a huge impact.”
“While listening we learned that even as an individual, we can make an impact on people’s lives.
“Rachel’s Challenge has made a huge impact on my life. I learned that kindness truly makes a difference and how important it is to show it every day. The talk we had here has inspired me to bring Rachel’s Challenge to my chapter hoping to make it our main mission this year.”
