We need your help to deliver the ultimate leadership experience. See volunteer descriptions below and check the sign up times that work for you….or just tell us when you can make it and we will let you know how you can be most helpful.
Setup
Setup will include packing gift bags for judges, making final preparations for registration packets, setting up yard games, prepping the service project station and anything else we want done before the conference kicks off.
Photobooth
Volunteering at the photobooth is just what you think it is. We will have a DIY photobooth where you will encourage students to stop by to take a silly photo with the props.
Service Project Station
This years conference service project is up cycling old unwanted t-shirts into dog toys for shelters. Unfortunately, many shelters have seen a big increase in surrenders as COVID stay at home lifestyles shifted back. See examples of how this works here, https://www.sewhistorically.com/5-different-diy-no-sew-t-shirt-dog-toys/. We will have printed instructions but your role will be to assist the students with this craft project.
Workshop Room Monitor
You will serve a sort of room monitor providing some assistance to the workshop presenter but mainly there to introduce them, serve as an initial troubleshooter for problems and as someone who can find the appropriate person if more serious issues arise.
Service Parade Director
Our service parade will take place during the opening ceremony following the service fair (where each chapter has a delegate with a poster board to discuss service projects throughout the year with attendees). Your role will be to give instruction on lining up, marching down the grand ballroom and stationing in front of the main stage for a few remarks and an applause. The service parade will then march back down and split to each side lining the poster boards along the walls of the ballroom.
Election Judge
As an election judge you will be given results from various components of candidate evaluations including their test results, interview score sheets and votes from the formal house of delegates. You will be giving instructions on how to compile these different components and how to process them into final results.
Jacket Collection
This is just what it sounds like. We will be collecting rented jackets from students and need your help to do it. Mark down who returned what size.
